Postdoctoral Fellow - GI Radiation Oncology - Research
$64k - $76kMD Anderson
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the department of GI Radiation Oncology. The primary areas of research for this position may include the development of novel devices designed to improve the safety of ablative treatments, such as radiation therapy or thermal ablation, and/or the development of novel cancer signatures based on the physical attributes of tumors as assessed through imaging or mechanical testing. This research area builds upon prior work conducted in the laboratory, which has demonstrated that customized devices may reduce the side effects associated with radiation treatment and that the nanomechanical properties of solid tumors provide unique insights into tumor biology. All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The key training, research, and professional development for qualified applicants may include learning advanced coding skills with machine learning and vibe coding, 3D printing, survival analysis, study design, engineering skills, mechanobiology, and/or statistical analysis. Grant and technical writing skills will also be further developed. Presentations at national and international conferences are expected. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
