Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIH Must-Have: Advanced skills in Med Surg Description: This position is within a medical-surgical unit. The unit accommodates a total of 14 beds. Nurse-patient ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5. Staff includes a unit secretary and a charge nurse. The documentation system utilized in this unit is Meditech. All applicants must be willing to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Floating policies require that contract staff float as needed. Patient experience requirements are not applicable for this unit. Certifications required for this position are BLS and NIH. The required uniform consists of scrubs. Prospective candidates should be aware of unit-specific policies and guidelines. The unit has received recognition and awards for excellence, including being Joint Commission Thrombectomy Certified. The unit offers new equipment and technology, along with a well-tenured staff. Schedule options are flexible and may be appealing to candidates.
