ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Manufacturing Program Director for our Clinton Tennessee facility. This role requires a dynamic hands-on leader with proven experience leading a similar manufacturing and assembly business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the business, such as facility operations, assembly processes, quality control, research and development, safety management, personnel management, business development, and financial management. This position is required to be on-site 100% of the time in Clinton Tennessee location. This position will report directly to Peraton’s Vice President State and Local Government Business Unit.Day to Day Work Responsibilities:Business Management and Leadership:Lead a diverse team of approximately 50 members, including temp staff, production staff, functional staff, supply chain, service technicians, sales/customer service agents, and engineersLead business development / marketing teams, support pipeline development, drive deal closure / backlog, and grow the business year to yearWork directly with end customers, understanding their needs, developing solutions, and managing escalationsResponsible for the overall financial performance of the businessProduct Management and Strategy:Lead the overall product management strategy and roadmaps for best-in-class UGVsWork closely with customers to understand future needs / demand and build those into our product roadmaps as appropriatePropose R&D initiatives, with ROI, and lead approved effortsEvaluate and propose new products / solution / marketsProduction and Operations Management:Oversee all production activities to ensure on-time delivery and quality of all products manufactured at facilityOversee HW and SW engineering teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and process setupProven track record of exceeding production schedules / plansDevelop and implement production schedules, operational procedures, and standardsOptimize production efficiency and ensure that the facility meets its operational targetsFacility Setup and Management:Lead the assembly facility, including setup of production lines, and implementation of manufacturing processesManage procurement of equipment, materials, and tooling required for the facilitySafety and Quality Assurance:Establish quality assurance and maintain processes to ensure the highest standards of production qualityDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and production efficiencyDevelop and enforce safety protocols and standards to maintain a safe working environmentCompliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and environmental standardsIdentify and mitigate potential risks to operations, safety, and qualityQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Minimum sixteen (16) years of experience, may have management experienceTen (10) years of experience in similar manufacturing or production management, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleFive (5) years’ experience utilizing MRP/ERP systems such as Global ShopStrong knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, and safety managementProven ability to manage and develop a team in a non-unionized environmentExcellent communication, problem-solving, financial, business, and organizational skillsExperience in developing financial and sales forecastAbility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.U.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.Experience leading unmanned systems / ground vehicle production organizationsExperience supporting first responder agencies / customersExperience leading a business greater than $20M / year in sizeMaster’s degree in relevant fieldPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
