The CAD Drafter / Designer will support structural and mechanical engineering projects by creating engineering drawings in Autodesk AutoCAD under the direction of engineers. Work will include drawing sheets, details, plan views, sections, and production-quality drawings for structural steel and facility-related designs, including members, welds, bolts, handrails, deck plate, supports, brackets, and limited mechanical components such as hinges, actuators, and interfaces.

The role may also include limited use of Autodesk Inventor, incorporation of engineer markups and field notes, occasional peer checks and contractor drawing reviews, and limited field verification of dimensions and existing conditions. The position is a drafting support role and does not include independent engineering design authority or final technical approval responsibility.

Qualifications:
• 9+ years AutoCAD drafting experience or equivalent program
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and standard drawing practices
• Able to create and revise drawings from engineer markups, sketches, and direction
• Able to read structural, mechanical, and facility drawings
• Experience with field verification and taking dimensions preferred
• Strong attention to drawing accuracy, revisions, and configuration control
• Industrial or manufacturing facility drafting experience preferred \nCompany Description
