Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer (Arista / CloudVision) Location: New York City, NY (Midtown) 100% Onsite Duration: 6-Month Contract Compensation: Negotiable Client: Confidential Note: Strictly no C2C - W2 only Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Arista networking solutions and CloudVision Studio to support a large-scale network modernization initiative. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the migration of existing Juniper network infrastructure to Arista switching platforms using Arista CloudVision Studio. This position requires hands‑on deployment, configuration, and migration experience and will involve onsite work at the client's main hospital campus and affiliated remote locations. Key Responsibilities Configure and deploy Arista switches using Arista CloudVision Studio (CVS) . Analyze and extract configuration information from existing Juniper switches. Create CloudVision Studio templates based on Juniper configurations and execute migrations to Arista infrastructure. Perform hands‑on installation, staging, and configuration of new Arista hardware. Replace and migrate Juniper switches with Arista switches across multiple locations. Participate in planned network migration activities during after‑hours maintenance windows, including evenings and weekends. Troubleshoot network connectivity and configuration issues throughout the migration process. Collaborate with network engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless cutovers and minimal operational disruption. Required Technical Skills Arista Technologies Strong experience configuring and managing Arista switches through CloudVision Studio Experience with the following Arista platforms: 722XPM-48ZY8-2F 720XP-48ZC2-2F 7050SX3-48YC8-F Juniper Technologies Experience working with and extracting configurations from: MX4300 MX4600 MX10003 Required Qualifications Proven experience with Arista CloudVision Studio . Demonstrated success in network migration projects, particularly Juniper‑to‑Arista migrations. Ability to create and manage configuration templates within CloudVision Studio. Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts. Hands‑on experience with switch deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work onsite full‑time and participate in after‑hours migration activities. Work Environment 100% onsite in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. No remote or hybrid work options available. Standard work schedule: 35 hours per week . Weekend and evening work required during migration and cutover activities. Additional Information Client is a world‑renowned orthopedic hospital and healthcare institution. Candidates must meet all onsite health and vaccination requirements, including flu vaccination.
