Healthcare Professional Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 26 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a cardiothoracic or cardiovascular intensive care unit.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to work with complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries.
• Weekly orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced care and monitoring for critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care procedures.

Compliance / Notes

Must be separated from previous employment at the facility for 6+ months to be considered. Floating may not be required.
