Plant Engineering Manager

Relate Search is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer in search of a Plant Engineering Manager to lead plant maintenance, reliability, and engineering operations within a high-volume continuous manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a critical partner to plant leadership, driving maintenance strategy, reliability improvements, and capital project execution while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations. The Plant Engineer will oversee maintenance teams, develop preventive and predictive maintenance systems, and use data-driven strategies to improve equipment uptime and plant performance. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, plant uptime, and overall operational performance. Lead plant maintenance and engineering teams while driving reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies, CMMS utilization, and KPI-based maintenance management. Oversee capital projects including equipment installations, facility upgrades, vendor management, contracted labor, and internal fabrication initiatives. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements, including wastewater systems, air permits, OSHA standards, and hazardous waste programs. Partner cross-functionally with operations and plant leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 3–5 years of engineering or maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), CMMS systems, preventive maintenance development, and data-driven reliability improvement strategies. Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, supervisors, and hourly technicians in a continuous manufacturing environment. Experience managing capital projects, repair budgets, contractors, and vendor relationships. Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, utilities, and facility systems including compressed air, chilled water, wastewater treatment, electrical systems, and high-speed manufacturing equipment.
