SUMMARY OF THE ROLESHEQ Specialist for heavy lift and transport operationsWorking at Rosharon, TXAt Mammoet, safety, quality, and operational excellence are fundamental to everything we do. The SHEQ Specialist plays a key role in developing, implementing and continuously improving the company’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality management systems across the U.S. organization.This position is responsible for supporting the governance of SHEQ programs, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, client requirements and regulatory obligations, while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business. The SHEQ Specialist works closely with SHEQ Advisors, Operations leadership and project teams to translate business needs into effective SHEQ processes, systems and standards.Unlike field-focused advisory roles, the SHEQ Specialist serves as the subject-matter expert for management systems, auditing, reporting, risk management, and SHEQ process optimization. This role provides technical leadership on SHEQ initiatives and supports strategic projects that enhance operational performance and organizational compliance.Travel Requirement: Up to 30%WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGSupporting the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of Mammoet’s SHEQ Management SystemDeveloping and optimizing SHEQ standards, procedures and business processes in line with operational and regulatory requirementsCoordinating SHEQ improvement projects and corporate initiatives across the U.S. businessConducting internal audits and supporting external certification and client auditsAnalyzing SHEQ performance data, identifying trends and preparing reports for leadership reviewSupporting risk management activities, including risk assessments, corrective actions and control effectiveness reviewsLeading or supporting incident investigations, root cause analyses and improvement initiativesProviding technical SHEQ expertise and guidance to operational teams and SHEQ AdvisorsSupporting compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management system requirementsAssisting in the development and delivery of SHEQ training and awareness programsWHAT YOU’LL NEEDBachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplineMinimum 8 years of relevant SHEQ experience in heavy industry, construction, transportation, logistics, energy, mining or similar sectorsExpert knowledge of SHEQ regulations, management systems and industry best practicesStrong working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standardsExperience implementing and improving management systems, processes and proceduresProfessional experience conducting audits, investigations and compliance assessmentsDemonstrated experience leading continuous improvement and change management initiativesStrong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships across all organizational levelsWHAT YOU’LL GETQuick autonomy in your careerMedical and Dental benefits401k matching up to 6%Onsite gym and cafeteria Vacation and Sick TimeEducation and Professional Development AssistanceCareer Development and ProgramsCasual DressProvided Accommodations for short-term or long-term stay, with per-diemEligible for OTWANT TO KNOW MORE?Take a look at mammoet.com#mammoetcareers#SHEQjobs#madeformammoet
