Senior Construction Estimator - Commercial and Institutional Construction - Base Salary to 135k/year - Kimberton, PA Our client is an established commercial and custom construction firm serving the Greater Philadelphia region. The company specializes in complex institutional, commercial, and high-end residential projects and is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This position is responsible for preparing detailed construction estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals, and supporting project planning efforts from initial budgeting through final proposal submission. Responsibilities: Prepare accurate, detailed, and organized construction estimates and project proposals. Review drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine scope and pricing requirements. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and clients. Assist with project budgeting, value engineering, and cost planning efforts. Develop and support preliminary construction schedules. Collaborate with project management and operations teams during preconstruction and project turnover. Qualifications: 8+ years of construction estimating experience. Experience estimating institutional, commercial, and high-end custom residential construction projects. Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, bid packages, and project cost estimates. Experience reviewing subcontractor and supplier proposals. Proficiency with construction estimating software such as Sage, Pipeline, or similar estimating platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
