About the Position

Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience, with Level I Trauma Center experience preferred. First-timers are not accepted for this position. Expected patient ratios are 4:1 but may flex to 5:1. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. No on-call requirement for this role. Nurses will work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-acuity environment. Ideal candidates will be positive and experienced, serving as role models for junior staff. Dysrhythmia interpretation and management is essential. Knowledge of EPIC charting is required. Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred, with travelers needing at least one previous assignment. All candidates must pass a dysrhythmias EKG exam. Facility provides care for a variety of patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics. Staffed beds in the facility total 1,273. Interdisciplinary support includes various health services and support staff. Routine duties will include phlebotomy and working in multiple units within the emergency room. The role involves managing behavioral health patients as part of the emergency department. Nurses are expected to provide exceptional emergency care.
