HR Advisor Assistant Vice President

Job Description The HR Advisor is responsible for managing employee relations issues, including coaching and advising leaders and employees on performance management topics such as absenteeism, performance, compensation, and misconduct. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with policies, practices, and applicable employment legislation, providing consultation and resolution guidance to promote a positive workplace culture. The HR Advisor researches, resolves, and responds to a variety of employment‑related matters. Basic Qualifications Typically has six or more years experience in employee relations or as an HR Generalist or in an associated HR position Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in performance coaching, conflict resolution, and administering disciplinary action Preferred previous experience working in HR Operations or an HR Service Center Ability to work independently and identify when to engage others Excellent customer service and problem‑solving skills Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Proven ability to maintain confidential information PC and Microsoft Office proficiency The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule: in‑office expectation of three or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office for the remaining days.
