Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a healthcare facility located in Rome, Georgia. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a PCU setting, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and titratable drips. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: Rome, Georgia
• Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a 13-week schedule cycle
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Neurointensive Support Skills (NIHSS); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training or willingness to complete; minimum of 2 years of experience in the requested specialty; ability to work night and day shifts; flexibility for every other weekend rotation, on-call duties (rare), and participation in holiday coverage (70%).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arrhythmia monitoring and cardiac titratable drips; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Skills required: Proficiency in arrhythmia monitoring, knowledge of cardiac titratable drips, ability to assist with Foley catheter placement.
• Support within the Department: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)/Nurse Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Phlebotomists, Educators, Staffing and Payroll Specialists, Safety Sitters, Virtual Patient Observers (VPO), Virtual RN, Security.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR system, cardiac monitors, glucometers, specialty beds and alarms, ventilators, Alaris infusion pumps, virtual nursing support.
• Floating: Floating may be required to all medical-surgical and critical care areas, including Emergency Department boarders.
• Orientation: First week includes new employee orientation (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM); second week involves 2-3 days on the unit.
• Department Culture: Emphasizes teamwork, timely communication, quick patient response, and prioritization of telemetry monitoring.
• Additional Notes: Scrub color is navy; free parking available.
