Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.**The role:*** Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities for plant cost centres, including headcount and people costs.* Provide timely variance analysis, cost reporting and forecasting insights throughout the month-end close process.* Deliver clear management reporting on production and overhead costs, including Monthly Operating Report submissions.* Partner with plant operations and finance stakeholders to identify trends, risks and opportunities through detailed analysis.* Review production costs, standard cost allocations and cost variances to support improved business performance.* Build strong relationships across operational, commercial and technical teams to support accurate financial reporting.**Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:*** University degree qualification and a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA or equivalent.* Strong experience in management accounting, cost analysis and financial planning within manufacturing.* Understanding of production costing, variance analysis and financial performance drivers.* Ability to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders and provide actionable business insights.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.* Experience within the chemicals, automotive or related industrial sectors would be advantageous.Even if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!**What we offer:**We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
