Overview:

Employees are expected to delight and serve our customers by providing excellent customer service in keeping with Colesville's business philosophy, which is to sell the best possible plants while providing the best possible service.They are expected to Operate with Honesty and Integrity by taking responsibility for their own actions, and being truthful in all interactions. They are also expected to develop strong relationships with others by interacting with others in a way that creates a pleasant and professional working environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Drives vehicles in a safe, and courteous manner, driving "defensively" at all times.
• Collects cash, checks, or credit card info from customers, makes change if necessary, and records transactions on customer receipt.
• Drives truck to deliver such items as plant materials, mulch and other related products, loading and unloading the truck.
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Listens to customer service problems and forwards information to General Manager and/or Operations Manager for resolution.
• Performs the duties of Nursery team member, when not making deliveries.
• Writes customer orders and instructions.
• Cleans inside of truck and performs routine maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B driver’s license required, Class A is preferred but not required.
• Ability to successfully complete DOT Physical and Drug Test as required according to DOT regulations.
• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Employee must be at least 18 years old.
• Employee must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Our nursery is open to the public from 7:30am-4:30pm. However, delivery drivers typically begin their day earlier in the morning in order for the products to be distributed to the customers by their start of business. Our delivery driver's schedule largely depends on where the delivery is going.
