Human Resources Manager

Job Title

Under the direction of the superintendent or designee, plans, organizes and coordinates classified and certificated personnel services in compliance with State Education Code, Federal guidelines, and collective bargaining agreements. Serve as Credential Analyst for certificated employees. Responsible for independent decisions governed by existing policies. Consistent ethical behavior and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality when required is essential.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Public Administration, or other related field required; Master's degree preferred. Four years of responsible and varied technical public personnel experience, including at least two years of experience in a California public school district. Must possess a valid California Driver's License. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Comments and Other Information

Sufficient vision to read printed material. Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone. Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters. Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of pressure to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This type of work requires occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, twisting, reaching, and kneeling for extended periods of time. Sufficient manual dexterity and/or mobility to grasp and/or manipulate objects, operate mechanical equipment, and move about the work area.
