Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,085 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Cardio is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Columbia, Missouri. Job Details Location: Facility in Columbia, Missouri Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12‑hour days Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures and/or use equipment Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, handle irregular schedules, and maintain continuous concentration to detail Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability coverage 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
