How you'll contribute A Scheduler who excels in this role: Schedules all patients for ancillary, surgical, and medical testing/procedures/admissions. Obtains physician's orders and authorization/pre-certification. Enters outpatient procedures in the Order Entry System. Communicates insurance coverage limitations, testing requirements, and other pertinent information to patients and physician offices. Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred. Medical terminology, billing, and/or collection experience is preferred. Strong computer skills required.
