CT Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required throughout all buildings as needed
• Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 40 orientation hours required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center experience required
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Perform routine studies, outpatient imaging, cardiac, and interventional radiology procedures
• Perform CT imaging including abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and soft tissue neck studies
• Perform advanced procedures including brain perfusion, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and colonography
• Perform special procedures including biopsies, aspirations, and drainage
• Administer and prepare contrast media
• Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and 3D rendering techniques
• Starting peripheral IVs required
• Serve patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups
• Operate Siemens Force, Siemens Go.Top, and Siemens Somatom Definition equipment
• Chart using Epic system; Epic experience required
• Scrub colors: Teal top and black bottom
• Radiation badge must be provided by agency
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT (R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT)
• South Carolina license must be in hand at time of start

Facility:

This is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with 865 staffed beds. The facility operates as a comprehensive stroke center and offers a full range of imaging services including routine studies, outpatient imaging, cardiac procedures, and interventional radiology. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains a daily census of approximately 130 patients across three CT imaging rooms.
