Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist, PRN

Description The Cardiovascular Specialist assists the physician with invasive cardiology procedures and performs duties for which the employee is qualified by way of education and training. Work with a fabulous team of cardiovascular professionals caring for patients in the Iredell community. We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking colleague to bring high energy to the team. Requirements One year of experience in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology – special procedures, or other relevant allied health field preferred. Certification, registered or registry eligible in a relevant allied health field, such as cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology – special procedures, Cardiovascular Interventional Technology (CIT or CIT eligible), or paramedic required. If registry eligible must obtain within a year of hire date. One year of experience working in a cardiovascular lab preferred. RCIS preferred or willing to obtain within a year of hire date. BCLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. ACLS required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test for the position to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to lift patients with assistance or assistive devices. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Ability to wear lead apron. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities. Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency situation.
