Senior Scientist, Quality Control

Catalent seeks a Senior Scientist for Quality Control at its St. Petersburg softgel manufacturing facility. The role involves testing and releasing materials and finished products, conducting microbiological and analytical testing, and supporting method development while maintaining cGMP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products per approved methods
• Conduct microbiological testing including cultivation, identification, and Gram staining
• Execute environmental and utility testing including water and manufacturing environment monitoring
• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods and support technology transfers
• Provide technical guidance and training to laboratory staff; maintain equipment and records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology
• 8+ years of analytical laboratory experience
• Hands-on expertise with UV/IR spectroscopy, HPLC, GC, and dissolution testing
• Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques and Vitek systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
