This role typically reports to the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance and is based in our Braselton Distribution Center. Daily Operations (75%) Assist the supervisor with planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment. Ensure that all work, including work performed by subcontractors, is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules. Maintain good housekeeping and work well with management, peers, and subordinate employees to maximize productivity while minimizing employee conflict; observe housekeeping, safety and C‑TPAT compliance in the assigned area of responsibility and stay within compliance of company policies regarding safety. Support Functions (25%) Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on conveyors and other material handling equipment. Assist with planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment. Maintain facility property, including building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc. Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center. Perform other tasks as assigned. Requirements Must Have You will operate equipment for most of your shift, so you must be able to pass equipment and safety certification. Experience using routine industrial hand tools. Basic electrical knowledge. Team player willing to perform various job duties to support the department and the facility objectives and key performance indicators. A customer‑service orientation willing to exceed the expectations our customers. Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others (Supervisors, Managers, and peers). Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods. A valid state‑issued drivers’ license and a good driving record. Preferred Skills And Experience High school diploma or GED preferred, not required. Formal technical school or college degree preferred. 0–2 years of maintenance experience.
