Collaborate with physicians in managing medical needs of patientsReview and order laboratory studies, x-rays and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with supervising physician as indicatedReview lab and radiology results, in consultation with supervising physician as indicatedSubmit patient health care plan and goals of individual patients for review and evaluation by physicianRefer patient to physician or specialist for consultationReview consultation reports, in consultation with the supervising physician as indicatedCounsel patients and their families on health promotion, diagnosis, prognosis, and management options. Recommend resources to meet patient and family needs.Instruct patient and authorized family members regarding medications and treatment instructions.
