Location Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre (GSWB), United States of America Shift Days Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Worker Type Regular Exemption Status: No Job Summary Responsible for inventory analysis including inventory counts, tracking medication expiration, adjusting PAR levels based on utilization assessment, assigning storage locations in compliance with policies, managing inventory movement and transfers, compliance with 340B policies, and on‑site management and communication of back‑orders. Assures new formulary items are assigned to appropriate systems and storage locations and available for use; assists with removal of items removed from formulary. Responsibilities Accountable for inventory disposal, including onsite management of reverse distributor and management of returns and recalls. Responsible for ordering supplies and medications, including routine medication and supply order process, consignment ordering and tracking, and vaccine ordering and tracking to ensure ordered products are received. Accountable for medication and supply receiving and delivery of received items as applicable. Assures all medications have a barcode and that the barcode scans in all systems. Ensures all documentation is completed timely and accurately. Responsible for inventory reporting, including receiving in designated system, managing order receiving discrepancies, and completing requested inventory reports. Participates in the annual inventory process. Attends meetings and provides timely communication with pharmacy staff and other customers. Provides excellent customer service. Works primarily in a clinical environment. Complies with all organization policies and procedures and satisfies all job‑specific obligations. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) – required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience – required. Certification: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Intern – Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
