Mid Atlantic Technical Consultant ManagerDescription -The Technical Consultant Manager leads the Presales Technical Consultant (TC) team, driving technical sales strategy and execution across Enterprise and Small Enterprise accounts. This role works in close alignment with Account Executive Managers and Sales leadership, coaching and motivating a team of Presales TCs to deliver technicalexpertise, differentiate solutions, and accelerate deal velocity. The manager ensures strong customer engagement, solution validation, and partnership with the broader sales ecosystem to support business growth and technical excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & StrategyDevelop and implement presales strategies aligned with business goals.Conduct regular training to ensure teamexpertisein current technologies.Lead and mentor thepresalestechnical team.Customer EngagementCollaborate with sales teams to assess customer requirements.Delivertailored product demonstrations and technical presentations.Build strong relationships with clients to ensure trust and credibility.Solution Design & Proposal DevelopmentArchitect andvalidatetechnical solutions based on customer needs.Oversee the creation of proposals, RFP responses, and tender documentation.Ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with industry standards.Market & Product ExpertiseStay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.Provide feedback to product teams based on customer interactions.Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and strategic meetings.Budget ManagementAssign team members efficiently across opportunities and regions.Monitor expenditures to stay within budget limits, including team budgets for travel, software, equipment, and training.Provideaccuratefinancial forecaststoleadership.Performance & DevelopmentImprove team performance through targeted coaching, mentoring, and upskilling.Build a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.Drive individual development plans and careerpathingfor presales talent.Compliance & ReportingEnsure thepresalesteam adheres to legal, ethical, and compliance standards.Provide insight to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to influence strategy, resource planning, and customer engagement models.Knowledge & SkillsTechnical ExpertiseDeep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and enterprise software.Hands-on experience with technologies like SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and virtualization tools.Sales AcumenStrong consultative selling skills.Ability to translate technical features into business benefits.Leadership & CommunicationProven ability to lead cross-functional teams.Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Market AwarenessUp-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.Strategic ThinkingAbility to develop and implement strategies that align with business goals.Analytical and critical thinking skills for solution validation and proposal development.Customer FocusAbility to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and customer satisfaction.Comfort withnew technologyand AI Education& Experience Recommended:Bachelor’sdegree is preferred but notrequired.Typically10+ years of job-related experience or 8–10 years of management experience in technical consulting, presales, or solution architecture.Proven experience leading technical teams in a sales orpresalesenvironment.Experience with budget management and financial forecasting.Strong background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and enterprise software.About HPHP creates new possibilities for technology to have a meaningful impact on people, businesses,governmentsand society.
