Paralegal - Real Estate

Overview Paralegal – Real Estate | Dutch Bros Coffee. This is an in-office role located in Tempe, Arizona, requiring four days per week in the office. The Paralegal – Real Estate acts as a key member of the legal team, providing essential support for real estate development, transactions, and related agreements across the company. What You’ll Actually Do Agreement Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, track, review, and negotiate Build-to-Suit and Ground Lease Agreements, including all ancillary lease documents such as CC&Rs, SNDA s, estoppels, and amendments. Due Diligence Management: Review and prepare recommendations based on title reports, surveys, and other due diligence-related reports to support real estate transactions. External Counsel & Legal Matter Coordination: Act as a primary liaison with outside counsel on various legal matters including lease negotiation, environmental, land use, construction, and litigation. Real Estate System Expertise: Advise the Company’s Real Property Management system administrators on legal real estate workflows, templates, data points, and schedules. Lease Administration Support: Assist attorneys in advising lease administration staff on lease and site-related matters, including lease term compliance, renewal negotiations, and related communications. Must-Haves Background: High School Diploma or GED with an understanding of legal privilege, confidentiality, and unauthorized practice of law, plus general knowledge of law office operations, practices, and procedures. Experience: At least 5 years of proven legal experience within a corporation, law firm, government agency, or similar enterprise, including knowledge of real estate development, transactions, and contracts (Build-to-Suit, Ground Leases, CAM, SNDA, Estoppel, exclusivity issues, lease renewals and amendments, due diligence, memorandums, title and survey review, and environmental reports). Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, high attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, proven project management and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently with accountability. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Zoom at an intermediate to advanced level. Bonus: An associate degree, BA/BS, or a Paralegal degree or certificate is preferred, along with prior experience using Smartsheet and Lucernex. #J-18808-Ljbffr Dutch Bros Coffee
