Openshift Platform Engineer

We are seeking an OpenShift Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage OpenShift clusters. This role involves working with a suite of DevOps tools to enable Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, ensuring the overall health and security of supported applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage OpenShift clusters to support application deployment and scaling.
• Utilize DevOps tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible Tower, and XL Release.
• Manage code migrations and ensure source control policies are followed.
• Apply application maintenance releases, upgrades, and hotfixes as required.
• Design, implement, and maintain platform security, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft server environments.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts to evaluate new technologies.
• Coordinate with infrastructure support teams for outages and upgrades.
• Monitor and track vulnerabilities to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
• Perform platform capacity planning and management.
• Serve as an escalation point for production and platform issues.
• Design solutions to reduce operational and management complexity.
• Coordinate and manage software releases to align with project timelines.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience with DevOps methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Proficiency with Jira and SQL.

Professional Skills

• Strong analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
