Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a New York State licensed veterinary technician (part-time or full-time) to join our team at our full-service exotics-only animal hospital (no cats and dogs)! Work with four full-time doctors and experienced support staff. We are ideally looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and great communication skills.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Client communication and education
• Assisting veterinarians with exams/procedures
• Venipuncture
• Administering medications (injectable, topical, oral)
• Nursing care
• Obtain laboratory samples, run in-house tests, and send samples to outside labs
• Diagnostic imaging
• Anesthesia and surgical monitoring
• Patient monitoring and post-op recovery
• Filling prescriptions and reviewing medications with clients
• Recording patient history in medical records
• Providing compassionate exotic pet care
