Clinical Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical and procedural cases while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality. \n
- Provide comprehensive perioperative patient care, including pre-anesthesia evaluations, intraoperative management, and postoperative follow-up. \n
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. \n
- Participate in a light 1:6 call rotation. \n
- Support evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department. \n
Medical Director Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for Anesthesia services. \n
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care. \n
- Partner with hospital administration, surgical services leadership, and medical staff to develop departmental goals and strategic initiatives. \n
- Oversee quality assurance, patient safety programs, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards. \n
- Support physician and CRNA recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and retention efforts. \n
- Assist with scheduling oversight, resource utilization, and operational efficiency to ensure optimal department performance. \n
- Lead group meetings and participate in hospital committees as appropriate. \n
- Promote professional development, continuing education, and best practices among anesthesia providers. \n
- Monitor and implement quality metrics, performance improvement initiatives, and clinical protocols. \n
- Serve as a liaison between the anesthesia team, medical staff, and hospital leadership. \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- MD or DO with completion of ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency \n
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology \n
- Eligible for licensure in New York State \n
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills \n
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care \n
- Formal leadership experience preferred \n
