Compensation: Competitive Salary + Benefits Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Buyer to support sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and inventory planning activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and services are available to support both product development and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Source and procure raw materials, components, consumables, equipment, and services. Manage purchase orders and monitor order status through receipt. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost. Monitor supplier lead times and proactively identify potential shortages or supply chain risks. Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure on‑time delivery. Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance management activities. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Inventory Control, and Program Management teams to support project and production requirements. Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and inventory data within ERP systems. Develop and maintain purchasing metrics, supplier scorecards, and performance reports. Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including supplier selection and material readiness. Monitor inventory levels and support Kanban replenishment processes to ensure uninterrupted material availability. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus. Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Experience Medical device, FDA‑regulated, or ISO 13485 manufacturing experience. Supplier qualification and supplier performance management. Inventory management, demand planning, and materials management. Kanban or lean manufacturing environments. Experience developing purchasing KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
