Veterinary Technician

Job Description Applicants must have a strong work ethic, a positive personality, capable of communicating effectively, be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast paced environment, have the ability to work in harmony with a team, possess or be willing to learn a well-rounded technical skill set, and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to equine patients as well as clients. Applicants must have horse handling skills and be comfortable working with and around horses. Responsibilities: * Assist the veterinarian during appointments and use veterinary software for documenting lab results * Obtain and process laboratory samples * Perform diagnostic imaging * Prep patients for and assist in surgery * Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable) * Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients * Provide compassionate patient care * Willing to work a rotating after hours/ weekend on call schedule * Keep all areas of the hospital and vet trucks clean and organized * Have reliable transportation Benefits: We're dedicated to your well-being and offer a comprehensive package and professional development opportunities to support your work and home life.
