Parking Operations Specialist - Knoxville, TN

Job Details Compensation: Towne Park offers competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. The hourly base pay range for this position is $16 per hour, based on the candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:00am – 1:30pm. Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees can also enroll in the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits. Summary The Porter is responsible for overall basic general cleaning of the common garage area while delivering exceptional hospitality services to all guests during their entire stay. The Porter also maintains the garage facility equipment, manages waste receptacles, and assists with customer issues in the parking area, including lock‑outs, flat tires, battery jumps, and lost‑vehicle assistance. Essential Functions 20% Cleanliness check each shift of all guest entrances/elevator landings. Duties include emptying ash urns daily, trash receptacles when ½ full or higher, sweeping litter and cigarette butts, and using a mop or power washer for liquid spills. Wipe signage and way‑finding material, including all pay‑on‑foot stations. 20% Maintain general cleaning of the garage using a mobile garbage can, broom, and dustpan, removing debris such as cans, bottles, cups, and refuse from ground, ledges, and walls. Use paint‑safe solution or power washer for stains on pillars and columns. 15% Wipe all signage and way‑finding materials at all garage vehicular entrances and exits with appropriate cleaning solutions. Clean gates, gate arms, card reading equipment, and attached signage. 15% Empty all returned guest key receptacles at each garage exit and return them to the Towne Park MOD for proper facility processing. Power wash entrance and exit areas as needed. 10% Assist guests with directions and other inquiries; stand while serving guests; provide information about surrounding area and main attractions. 10% Protect guest confidentiality per HIPAA requirements; maintain security of customer financial and identifying information. 10% Total amount of time for all functions of the job – 100%. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure, Certification, etc.: Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Work Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training without a diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service experience preferred. Knowledge: Basic general cleaning knowledge. Skills: Must read and write Standard English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees. Must understand 24‑hour and military time systems; understand rates applicable to time passed. SCOPE – Authority to Act The job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Budget Responsibility The employee has control only over the resources available. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Required to talk or hear; sit or stand for extended periods; run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, or up to 20 lbs constantly to move objects. Work outdoors for extended periods, exposed to extreme heat and cold.
