Shop Helper / Driver

The Shop Helper/Driver supports daily construction operations by assisting with shop organization, equipment maintenance, material handling, and delivery/pick-up of tools, equipment, and construction materials to and from job sites. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient shop operations and ensuring timely transportation needs are met safely and professionally. Responsibilities & Duties Deliver and pick up construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to various job sites and vendors. Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner in compliance with DOT and company policies. Assist mechanics and shop personnel with basic maintenance, cleaning, and organization of equipment and tools. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, storage yard, and equipment areas. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely. Perform routine inspections of company vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with inventory control and tracking of tools, parts, and supplies. Support field crews with miscellaneous labor and operational tasks as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Complete delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation accurately and timely. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous construction, shop, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred. Valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR). Ability to operate pickup trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other shop equipment preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely enter and exit company vehicles and equipment frequently throughout the workday. Combination of shop, warehouse, yard, and active construction job site environments. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, noise, and construction equipment. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs. Additional Requirements: Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check, if applicable. Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
