The Inventory Specialist is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control. Documentationof procedural issues and concerns are required. Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs 2. Counts and reconciles randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations 3. Assists in developing solutions to specific problem areas 4. Compiles, verifies and reports periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations 5. Assists in development of projects as well as make recommendations to appropriate personnel 6. Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures as well as compliance to contractual obligations 7. For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action Education Requirements 1. High school diploma or GED required. Experience Requirements 1. Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training 2. Experience operating a forklift 3. PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel 4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals 5. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Preferred Qualifications 1. Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred. 2. Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment. 3. Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset. 4. Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Inventory Specialist. Physical Capabilities 1. Able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. 2. Required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and talk or, hear. 3. Ability to walk, stoop, or kneel. 4. Lif 50 lbs. as needed. 5.
