Job Title: Quality Engineer II Job Description

Join a leading company in advanced lithium-ion battery systems and energy storage solutions as a Quality Engineer II. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring manufacturing excellence and product quality within our operations. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively across various teams to drive quality execution and resolve product and process quality issues.

• Address manufacturing quality issues related to process variation, capability, materials, and tolerancing.
• Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Lead containment activities and risk mitigation efforts to protect customers and operations.
• Support pre-launch builds, production trials, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Own and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, and quality documentation.
• Perform process capability studies, SPC analysis, and quality data analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve process capability and reduce quality risks.
• Review and analyze manufacturing quality trends and implement corrective actions.
• Support supplier quality escalation activities as needed.
• Mentor junior quality personnel and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading corrective actions and root cause investigations.
• Proficiency with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and manufacturing quality systems.
• Strong understanding of quality tools and statistical analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.

• Experience in Pre-Launch Builds.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work collaboratively in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Partner with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality. The role supports continuous improvement and innovation in a supportive environment that values long-term employee development.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
