The ideal candidate should possess strong front-end and mobile application development skills. They should also have experience writing software working with hardware devices. The candidate should be self-driven, willing to work as part of a team, and comfortable using critical-thinking skills and creativity to tackle ambiguous tasks.Job Specific TasksDesign, develop, and maintain software for biomedical and diagnostic systems.Develop GUIs for various detection and analysis systems.Develop mobile applications to interact with the hardware and APIsImplement and optimize software for real-time control and data acquisition.Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translate these into software requirements and designs.Participate in the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, process engineers, biomedical engineers, and lab team.Technical RequirementsExperience developing visually appealing, user-friendly applicationsAbility to develop iOS applications using Swift that are capable to use advanced hardware features such as BLE, audio and video processingCapability to develop similar Android applicationsKnowledge of Web APIs, styling techniques (including SASS) and related infrastructureUnderstanding of UI/UX complexity and balancing it with technical feasibilityAbility to build cross-platform solutionsGood understanding of system design, hardware and software architecture, hardware and software integrationBuilding and scaling cloud applications using any of the following AWS, GCP or AzurePractical skills in GitHub CI/CD workflows for Mobile and Web-ApplicationsExperience with building medical grade software or another regulatory environmentNon-Technical RequirementsWilling to live in Massachusetts and be physically present in the officeAdaptability and creativity in tackling complex software challenges with minimal supervisionTeam player – willing to collaborate with team members on multi-level problems and seek out appropriate support when neededEffectively able to provide daily updates on progress and accurate estimates for time to completion of workDrive to continuously improve as an individual to advance the team's mission and successQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering; 5 + years of experience
