Join us in shaping the future of architecture and design in the Southeast! We are seeking a skilled Computational Designer to join our summer intern cohort . The successful candidateshouldbeknowledgeable ofthe architectural design process and adept at integrating computational design techniques acrossdifferent stagesof projects. The ideal candidate will be expected tosupportproject efforts relating to computationaldesignandoffer insighton the design processand have an opportunity to apply and expand research in computational design, generative workflows, and AI-driven design strategies. Key Responsibilities Craft and deploy innovative computational design strategies, tools, and workflows to augment the architectural design process. Engagewithdesignersshowcasingthe benefits of computational design solutions customized to meet unique needs and solve specific challenges. Develop and deploy custom scripts,plugins, and data pipelines to accelerate design exploration. Build reusable parametric models that support projectteams. Work closely with internal teams to integrate computational design solutions into project workflows for seamless implementation and adoption. Co-author internalwhitepapers or present findings. Preferred Qualifications Pursuitofdegree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field. Demonstrated experience integrating datadriven analyses (geometry optimization, environmental simulation, or generative workflows). Strong visualand verbalcommunication skills.The ability toconvey complex ideas through clear diagrams, dashboards, and presentations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity withdatabase-drivendesign approaches (e.g., SQL, Excelbased data pipelines, Power BI). Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence within the architectural design realm. Interest inresearch-based designand ability to translate academic insights into practice Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related technologies. Required Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office (Teams,Word, Excel, Project) Strong idea generator with communication and relationship skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with coaching and touch points Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process Demonstrated graphic presentation skills Location: Raleigh, NC.
