Veterinary Technician

Position Overview Acadia Veterinary Hospital is hiring an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician. Full‑time position with a schedule of four ten‑hour shifts per week. Salary is negotiable and based on experience. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with patient exams and treatments. Support surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. Safely restrain and handle patients. Provide compassionate, high‑quality nursing care. Perform diagnostic testing and process laboratory samples. Assist with radiographs and diagnostic imaging. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed. Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the medical team. Maintain accurate and complete medical records. Educate clients and help them feel confident in their pets’ care. Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care. Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment. Qualifications Previous veterinary technician experience or current veterinary technician licensure. Strong patient care and technical skills. Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery. Comfort with diagnostic testing and radiography. Strong animal handling and restraint skills. Knowledge of medication and vaccine administration. Excellent client communication and education skills. Positive attitude and passion for veterinary medicine. Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy hospital environment. Team‑first mindset and willingness to support coworkers.
