Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Float across MedSurg Telemetry and PCU units on multiple campuses, including coverage for inpatients holding in the ED
• Provide direct patient care for geriatric, orthopedic, post-procedural, post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and post-CABG (day 3–4) patients
• Titrate and manage drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Interpret cardiac monitor strips; monitor techs are available for PCU and MedSurg Tele, with bedside monitors present in Stepdown
• Manage respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High Flow in applicable units
• Care for groin sites in the Stepdown unit following cardiac catheterization procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a PCU setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
• Comfort and competency managing the majority of titratable drips listed above

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Familiarity with post-cardiac catheterization care and groin site management
• Experience with Heated High Flow, BiPAP, and CPAP management in an acute care setting
