Airpath is a leader in Environmental HVAC Systems consulting and testing, encompassing Hospitals, Laboratories, Schools, Airports, Commercial Highrise, Municipal and Federal Projects. Airpath Engineering is headquartered in Hauppauge. Our service area includes Long Island and NYC (all 5 boroughs).   

The job candidate will provide office support preparing field reports for the company’s various engineering and testing projects, as well as onsite support for field staff for commercial HVAC testing, retro-commissioning, and new building commissioning work with room to grow and lead project efforts with clients and other stakeholders.

Airpath is committed to train and support the candidate’s continued education in certification disciplines related to our industry. Initial field support tasks will include performing surveys of new and existing mechanical systems with Sr. Field Engineers. The candidate will be trained on the use of temperature, air, and water flow test instruments to measure and record HVAC system performance and other environmental conditions. They will be required to enter data and read through HVAC mechanical design drawings and HVAC equipment manufacturer’s literature/manuals, transferring the appropriate data into formatted test reports for use in the field. Candidates that are Engineering or HVAC technical school graduates with experience in AutoCad 2D Mechanical Drawing, Microsoft office suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook), general tool use, and mechanically inclined are a good fit for this position.

This job will require our candidates to work occasionally on an evening shift and weekend projects. This position is paid hourly with overtime afforded over 40 hours during a normal work week. The typical office schedule is Monday – Friday 7:30AM to 4:00PM. When reporting to site work the arrival may start at 7:00AM. Time will be split between the office and jobsites throughout the week. Please note pay range is based on experience.

The candidates require a NYS Drivers License and can provide own transportation to report to the office. A good driving record may be a factor in hiring due to insurance considerations.
