Respiratory Therapist

Overview Encompass Health is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care, breathing therapy modality, and medication support in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. As a Respiratory Therapist, your role is pivotal in guiding patients toward independence and fostering patient rehabilitation and well‑being using cutting‑edge equipment and technology. Responsibilities Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication. Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns. Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery. Celebrating patient victories along the way. Qualifications Current State License in Respiratory Therapy. CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred. Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
