Tax Operations Manager

We are partnering with a market-leading alternative investment manager with a global footprint and significant capital under management. The firm specializes in complex credit and structured investment strategies and continues to experience substantial growth across products, investors, and jurisdictions. As the organization scales, the Investor Operations and Tax Operations infrastructure is evolving to support increasing regulatory complexity, investor onboarding volume, and global reporting requirements. The Opportunity The Tax Operations Team currently operates within a growing global reporting structure that requires additional leadership support to improve scalability, execution, and operational efficiency. The Senior Associate (Team Lead) will oversee offshore tax operations execution, manage day-to-day workflow, support investor onboarding and tax reporting processes, and serve as a primary escalation point for operational and reporting matters. This role sits at the intersection of investor operations, tax reporting, compliance, and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical execution, leadership, and operational oversight. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Operational Oversight Lead and manage offshore tax operations workflow and daily execution activities Oversee deliverables, quality control, capacity planning, and SLA performance Assign work, monitor team metrics, and ensure timely completion of operational tasks Serve as escalation point for complex tax operations and onboarding issues Support training, development, and performance management across the team Investor Onboarding & Tax Operations Oversee onboarding and maintenance of investor tax documentation for domestic and international investors Review and validate tax forms including W-9, W-8, and FATCA/CRS self-certifications Support onboarding due diligence and tax-related investor communications Maintain accuracy and integrity of investor tax data within internal systems Coordinate withholding and reporting support across investor accounts Tax Reporting & Regulatory Compliance Support U.S. and international tax reporting requirements, including: K-1 1099

Form 8966 FATCA / CRS submissions Ensure compliance with U.S. reporting requirements and international tax regimes, including Cayman Islands and Luxembourg frameworks Assist with operational support for tax filings and reporting deliverables Partner with internal tax, legal, and compliance stakeholders on regulatory matters Process Improvement & Automation Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and controls Partner with Operations and Technology teams on automation and reporting enhancements Assist with standardization of onboarding and reporting procedures Support implementation of process improvements leveraging technology and automation tools Ideal Candidate Profile 5+ years of experience in tax operations, investor operations, fund administration, or related financial services environments Prior management or team leadership experience required Strong experience with tax form validation for both domestic and foreign investors Knowledge of FATCA, CRS, withholding, and IRS information reporting requirements required Experience supporting U.S. and international tax filings Strong organizational and prioritization skills within high-volume environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Historically strong candidates often come from large banks, fund administrators, or Big 4 environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable CRM systems Exposure to Power BI, automation tools, and/or AI-enabled workflows Experience working within alternative investments, private credit, or asset management environments Why This Opportunity High-visibility operational leadership role within a growing investment platform Opportunity to help scale and modernize tax operations infrastructure Blend of leadership, tax operations, investor onboarding, and process improvement work Collaborative culture with strong internal advancement opportunities Competitive benefits including fully covered healthcare, generous PTO, retirement contributions, wellness programs, and hybrid flexibility #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect Search, LLC
