Registered Nurse - Primary Care

Registered Nurse (RN)Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work within our Ambultory Care Center at the Dumfries Health Center in Dumfries, VA.This is a prn opportunity Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays. We provide out-patient clinic services to enlisted and retired military personnel in association with Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital.Position Highlights:Outpatient environment & updated facilitiesSchedule - Flex schedule - Monday-Friday between 7am-8pm. Bi-weekly Saturday schedule from 7am-2pm.Safe & secure environmentCompliant and appreciative patient populationEmployee statusOpportunity to give back & care for our Nation's military and dependentsPosition Responsibilities:Patient assessment, triage, and monitoringExecution of physicians' orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practiceProvide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient releaseDocumentation of patient care and observationsPatient education and emotional supportPosition Requirements:Include bi-weekly Saturday shifts: 6am to 2pmTriage experience preferredMust be a US citizenCurrent BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure CompactAt least 2-years' experience as a Primary Care RNNursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.Excellent customer service skills.An understanding of medical and clinic settings.Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.Competitive Compensation, with an estimated starting income of $38.00/hr to $43.00/hr.About Prince William County, Virginia:Located just over 30 miles southwest of Washington D.C., Prince William County offers a vibrant and sought-after community enriched with natural beauty and historical significance.
