Join Alianza's revenue cycle team to keep claims clean, denials low, and the value-based care engine funded across our growing Puerto Rico network. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit medical claims accurately and timely to insurers Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements Follow up on denied, delayed, or unpaid claims and coordinate corrections and appeals Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile billing records in management systems Maintain compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA standards, and healthcare regulations Communicate professionally with providers, patients, insurers, and internal teams Support revenue cycle reporting, documentation, and audit readiness activities Assist in identifying billing trends, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 2 years of medical billing or revenue cycle management experience Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding, insurance claims, and payer guidelines Experience with EMR/EHR and medical billing software systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced healthcare settings Professional communication and customer service skills Where Clean Claims Become Better Care Alianza Health Partners is hiring a dedicated, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our expanding administrative and revenue cycle management team. You will be a critical link between the clinical work happening in our affiliate practices and the payer systems that fund it. Every claim you submit accurately, every denial you resolve quickly, and every reconciliation you close cleanly translates directly into resources our clinicians can put back into patient care. Your Role in the Alianza Model Our mission is to improve access, quality, and outcomes across Puerto Rico and the Americas through value-based healthcare delivery. As a Medical Biller, you will own the end-to-end claim lifecycle for a portion of our book — eligibility verification, submission, follow-up, appeals, and reconciliation — and partner closely with our coding, clinical operations, and patient experience teams to keep the pipeline healthy. Hybrid Flexibility This role is based in our San Juan office with flexibility to work at affiliate clinics throughout Puerto Rico as the work requires.
