We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Food Associate for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our food service establishment. Responsibilities Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options Perform housekeeping duties, as assigned and assist in maintaining a clean and inviting store appearance. Process POS (point of sale) purchases Assist in ensuring that all pumps, equipment, signs and facilities are functioning and look good. Work in the walk-in cooler Maintain a safe work environment Adhere to tobacco and alcohol sales regulations Maintaining all food service and beverage areas Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service Build rapport with customers and provide a pleasant shopping experience Comply with inventory control procedures Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design) Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations Operate cash register and handle customer transactions accurately Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the food service establishment Perform other duties as assigned Skills Proven work experience as a Retail Store associate, Sales representative or similar role Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices Proficiency in English Basic Math skills Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time Ability to lift and stock cases that can weigh up to 50 pounds Knowledge of food service operations, preferably in a restaurant or retail setting Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements Familiarity with inventory procedures Solid communication and interpersonal skills A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner Ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures relating to the safe and proper handling of convenience store and petroleum products Availability to work flexible shifts High school degree Job Type Full-time, Part-time Compensation $12.50 per hour Benefits Flexible schedule Shift 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Weekly Day Range Weekend availability Education High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location In Person #J-18808-Ljbffr Giant Oil Inc.
