Daily Responsibilities

Configuring, updating, and administering systems running Linux systems.
Applying NIST configuration scripts to Linux systems and resolving any configuration issues so systems are compliant to NIST security requirements.
Maintaining security updates on Linux systems.
Assisting with configuring, updating, and administering Biometric Research Lab (BRL) networks and storage systems.
Maintaining updated BRL documentation on configurations and processes as performed.

Years of Experience

Ten years of relevant experience

Degree and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Computer Science

Requirements

10 years of general system and software engineering.
5 years of experience: Configuring and administering Linux operating systems (Ubuntu Pro required) including security settings. Administering and running biometric technology evaluations.
10 years of experience maintaining system security configurations to meet requirements for operational environments.

Required Clearance
