Senior Software Engineer - Windows Server

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need advanced knowledge of distributed systems running Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and the underlying hardware and hypervisors.
• We value extensive experience in one or more software engineering areas such as networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
• We require strong proficiency in software technologies and programming languages such as C#, .NET, Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.
• We are seeking extensive enterprise software engineering experience, with a focus on integration in heterogeneous environments, building and documenting test harnesses and results, and using data to establish technical standards.
• We need deep technical knowledge across multiple domains.
• We are looking for demonstrated experience leading the effective use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting expectations for validating output accuracy, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including sensitivity of data, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resilience and security expectations.
• We need experience coaching senior engineers and leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
• We value deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate across and migrate between public and private clouds.
• We are looking for experience translating technical outcomes and requirements into business language and presenting to leadership teams.

• We design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure across physical, virtual, and container environments.
• We develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
• We create automation for building and deploying images for physical and virtual machines.
• We ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• We apply deep technical expertise and structured problem-solving to analyze complex data and systems, anticipate issues, and reduce risk.
• We work with other platforms to design and implement changes needed to resolve issues and modernize our organization and technology processes.
• We manage software engineering in line with business requirements.
• We drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We establish measurable validation standards such as secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchain tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale.
