Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care highly valued
• Ability to provide individualized care for students in an educational setting
• Familiarity with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) or willingness to learn
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Meets any district or state-specific requirements, such as fingerprinting or health exams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive 1:1 nursing care to an elementary student throughout the school day
• Administer medications, monitor chronic conditions, and respond swiftly to health emergencies
• Document all care provided and maintain clear, confidential student records
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a holistic care plan
• Act as a health resource and advocate for the student's well-being
• Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for student health services
