Chase Customer Insights Data Scientist Senior Associate

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in a STEM or related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills for data processing, analysis, quantitative research, and analytics.
• Critical-thinking and creative problem-solving abilities, including translating strategy into deliverables.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science theories, techniques, and tools.
• Experience using large language models and agentic AI techniques.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong partnerships.
• Preferred: Experience in data analysis, data science, or a related field.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS and Snowflake for data management and analysis.
• Preferred: Understanding of quality assurance practices and data integrity.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GenAI evaluation and monitoring, such as test cases, human feedback, and quality metrics.

• Lead customer insights workstreams by framing business problems, setting hypotheses and success measures, designing analyses, and delivering commercially useful recommendations.
• Build scalable datasets and pipelines with tools such as Snowflake, SQL, and Python to support repeatable reporting, experimentation, and advanced analytics.
• Develop and refine prompts with subject matter experts, align them to business goals and user needs, iterate on data model designs, and test solutions for reliability and effectiveness.
• Partner with subject matter experts and product teams to prototype and improve LLM-powered assistants and workflow automation, translating business needs into prompts, retrieval strategies, and agent workflows.
• Monitor AI model performance and make improvements to preserve quality and relevance.
• Work with data owners, product managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to develop scalable data models, algorithms, and solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and senior leaders, and support Customer Insights applications and ad hoc client analytics requests.
• Use data science, research, and business insight to inform product strategy and deliver merchant and consumer insights for Chase Merchant Services.
