Responsibilities
- Carry out physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist to address residents’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional needs
- Deliver direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities, in a safe and effective manner
- Observe and report resident responses to interventions, noting progress and any changes in condition to the supervising PT
- Assist with resident assessments and contribute to documentation and care planning as appropriate
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and techniques to promote safety and carryover outside therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system
- Ensure proper use and care of therapy equipment and assistive devices
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support coordinated resident care
- Adhere to state and federal regulations and professional standards of practice; maintain licensure and continuing education requirements

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current PTA license in the state of practice (Massachusetts)
- Prior experience in SNF or geriatric settings preferred
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation team under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Ability to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility / long-term care environment
