Work Location: This position will be based at our Sedalia, MO location Hours : M-F 8-5, 40 hours per week, including Saturday rotation Job Purpose: Evaluate, authorize, or recommend commercial loans to businesses and individuals. Advise borrowers on financial solutions, loan structures, and payment methods. Build relationships with clients, analyze creditworthiness, and ensure compliance with bank policies to support the growth and financial health of both the customer and the institution. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans. Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information. Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process. Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services. Coordinate with other professionals, such as real estate agents, bank officers, and appraisers. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in loan policies. Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy. Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval. Set credit policies, credit lines, procedures and standards in conjunction with senior managers. Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customers' needs. Review and update credit and loan files. Submit applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation. Market bank products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that may meet customers' needs. Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals. Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans. Provide special services such as investment banking for clients with more specialized needs. Petition courts to transfer titles and deeds of collateral to banks. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or similar areas are useful but not required. Three to five years commercial lending experience, required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. Bending, stooping or standing as necessary. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
